We seek an innovative Quantum Computing Research Scientist to develop scalable quantum algorithms, optimize error correction protocols, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to solve previously unsolvable problems. You'll work in our state-of-the-art Austin facility, contributing to projects that will redefine computing paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop quantum error correction techniques to improve qubit coherence
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate quantum circuit designs
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
- Secure research funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to publish high-impact research papers
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
