Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and computational acceleration
- Lead experimental validation of qubit stability and error correction protocols in cryogenic environments
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026-scale data processing
- Collaborate with hardware team to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE variants)
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and Python/C++
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
