Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor performance
- Lead research on topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant systems
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and quantum decoherence
- Experience with superconducting quantum systems or ion-trap technologies
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and probability theory
