Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing infrastructure
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals like Nature Quantum
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Develop quantum cybersecurity protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools and hardware interfaces
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and complexity theory
- Track record of securing research grants or patents
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams
