Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction codes to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for near-term quantum advantage
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Proven track record of published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, group theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Ability to translate theoretical research into practical engineering solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
