Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Lead research projects in error correction and quantum machine learning
- Secure NSF and DARPA grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum software SDKs for industry applications
- Present findings at global quantum conferences (Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published work in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience with superconducting or photonic qubit systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming with HPC optimization skills
- Track record of securing research funding (NSF/DARPA preferred)
