Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD grants to advance quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum IP portfolio
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE protocols)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation or photonic quantum systems
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
