Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processors and control systems
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage implementation in finance, healthcare, and logistics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical professionals
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields preferred
