Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for commercial applications in cryptography and AI
- Design scalable quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor a team of 5+ quantum research scientists
- Develop strategic partnerships with IBM, Google Quantum, and MIT
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm implementation experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields preferred
