Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from government and private entities
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on quantum integration pilots
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Track record of publishing in peer-reviewed quantum research
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead technical teams in high-pressure environments
