Responsibilities

- Manage a team of 8-12 quantum researchers and engineers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design scalable quantum processors
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through grant proposals
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Partner with industry leaders to implement quantum solutions
- Drive quantum education initiatives for STEM outreach
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum research experience with published papers
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages
- Proven team leadership in R&D environments
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, ion traps, photonic)
- Experience securing federal or corporate research grants
