Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and AI specialists
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum AI deployment in 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and entanglement protocols
- Strong background in superconducting qubit manipulation
- Experience managing $1M+ research budgets
- Clearance for DOE quantum security projects
