Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 breakthrough milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and AI specialists in quantum algorithm development
- Optimize quantum hardware-software interfaces for 100+ qubit systems
- Develop novel error-correction protocols enabling fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Translate theoretical research into commercial applications for finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants and partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and keynote international quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper) and error correction
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex R&D projects with $1M+ budgets
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for quantum-scale computational challenges
