Responsibilities
- Design and execute advanced quantum algorithm research targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Publish peer-reviewed research and represent the company at international quantum conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices in quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of leading technical projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
