Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead a cross-functional team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop roadmaps for quantum hardware integration and scalability
- Secure and manage research partnerships with academic institutions
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical commercial applications
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Drive quantum cybersecurity initiatives for post-quantum encryption standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and error correction
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Strong proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex R&D projects
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap)
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
