Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for 100+ qubit processors
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum networks
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature/Science journals
- Architect secure quantum communication protocols for financial institutions
- Drive open-source contributions to Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning research
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit platforms
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum system integration
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Clearance for DoD quantum research initiatives preferred
