Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in next-gen quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures optimized for specific applications
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Secure federal and private research grants to advance quantum computing capabilities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, or photonic systems)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
