Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with academic institutions on quantum algorithms
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum hardware innovations
- Present roadmap to C-suite and investors quarterly
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing hardware/software development
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubits
- Experience with quantum error correction codes (surface, surface-17)
- Strong track record of translating theory to prototype
- Clearance for DOE quantum initiatives (if applicable)
