Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to reduce quantum error rates below 0.1% threshold
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world applications
- Establish quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography systems
- Publish research in leading journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week conferences
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and establish best practices for quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction methodologies
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and quantum control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in machine learning and classical optimization algorithms
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
