Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical AI algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and neural network acceleration
- Develop error-corrected quantum circuits for practical AI applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-AI system integration
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and algorithm design
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
