Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier scientific journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop patentable solutions for cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum-AI education initiatives
- Secure and manage federal/state research grants for emerging tech projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Published research in quantum information science or AI
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proven ability to secure research funding ($500K+ preferred)
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
