Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles (cargo vans, box trucks) to deliver goods to commercial and residential locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment, ensuring the security of the shipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to scheduled delivery times and communicating effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience in a commercial or logistics environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Seattle-area roads and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and loading cargo into the vehicle.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery management software.
