Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans (Class B) to deliver goods to residential and commercial clients in the San Jose area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and secure fastening to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate digital logs and delivery paperwork (electronic logging devices) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience in a similar van or delivery role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as required by federal regulations.
- Strong physical stamina to lift packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for using handheld devices and electronic logging software.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
