Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and cargo to residential and commercial destinations within the Memphis metro area.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients and verifying delivery details.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a clean Class C license with sufficient experience driving box trucks or large vans.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no DUIs, reckless driving violations, or excessive at-fault accidents in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate the Memphis traffic efficiently.
- Basic proficiency with mobile delivery apps and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
