Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver/pick up freight in Kansas City metropolitan area
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatchers for route optimization and schedule adherence
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or hazardous materials training
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Kansas City metro roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging systems
- Flexible availability including early mornings and weekends as needed
