Responsibilities
- Secure and load cargo safely onto the delivery van, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and map applications to ensure on-time delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients regarding delivery schedules and handling any special instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the interior and exterior of the delivery vehicle.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and other paperwork required for compliance and billing purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred; valid state driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or delivery logistics.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing routes or delivery demands.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance standards is a plus.
