Responsibilities
- Perform safe and timely delivery of packages and goods to designated residential and commercial locations in the Charlotte area.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after every shift to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo using hand trucks, dollies, and manual labor as needed.
- Obtain signatures and proof of delivery for all shipments to maintain accurate records.
- Practice exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and the public.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B is preferred but not always required depending on cargo type.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs repeatedly and standing for long periods.
- Strong knowledge of the Charlotte, NC geography and traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and basic computer proficiency for electronic logging.
