Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans and delivery vehicles throughout the Boston metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any maintenance needs.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing accurate delivery information and maintaining a courteous demeanor.
- Plan routes to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Handle cash/card payments for drop-offs when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not always required for non-CDL van driving.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Previous experience in local delivery or logistics is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong navigation skills with proficiency in using GPS and mapping software.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must reside within a reasonable commute of the Boston facility.
