Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight across the Northeast corridor
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal routing and delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Implement defensive driving techniques to ensure cargo and road safety
- Participate in regular safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and regulations
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts as needed
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
