Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to various customer locations within the Boston metro area.
- Load and unload merchandise using hand trucks, dollies, and proper lifting techniques to ensure cargo integrity.
- Verify delivery accuracy by obtaining signatures and ensuring proper paperwork is completed and filed.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area, adhering to company sanitation standards.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve any delivery issues or complaints in a calm and courteous manner.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License (CDL not required, but a clean driving record is mandatory).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate local routes efficiently using GPS systems.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform minor roadside checks if necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work independently and handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
