Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and materials to designated locations within Boston and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries and optimize fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon receipt
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Load and unload cargo securely, following proper handling procedures
- Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and dispatch regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class D Driver's License with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Boston metropolitan area streets and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
