Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans and light trucks on designated routes throughout Austin and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients and dispatchers.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including mileage and timesheets.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required; Class A preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a commercial or delivery capacity.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and routing software.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
