Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport products to various commercial and residential locations in the Atlanta metro area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Interact professionally with customers to confirm deliveries and handle any issues that may arise on-site.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery documentation (electronic logging devices).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not always required for light van positions; a standard Class D license with a clean driving record is acceptable.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of the Atlanta, GA area and local traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging delivery information.
