Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Navigate local and regional routes in and around Jacksonville, FL, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Secure freight efficiently using proper tie-down techniques to ensure cargo arrives at its destination in perfect condition.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (HOS), mileage, and delivery receipts in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Represent our brand professionally when interacting with customers and ensure a high level of satisfaction with every delivery.
- Route Planning: Optimize driving routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption and wear on the vehicle.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must possess a current, clean commercial driver's license.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Driving Record: Clean MVR with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and meet the physical demands of the job.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to operate radio communication equipment.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varied schedules and occasional overtime as required.
