Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), delivery receipts, and mileage reports.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
- Represent the company professionally with customers and the public at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safe driving practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
