Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks (ELD) and delivery documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring cargo arrives on time and in perfect condition.
- Manage inventory and verify delivery accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Valid DOT medical card and DOT physical certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of NY/US roadways and traffic patterns.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and a professional demeanor.
