Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on designated routes in and around Oklahoma City and beyond.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is handled with care and meets safety standards.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of driving time, cargo manifests, delivery receipts, and mileage logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Customer Service: Deliver freight to customers professionally, maintaining a positive image of the company at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A License: Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License Class A.
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a professional Class A Driver (OTR or Regional).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination, and have the ability to sit for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps, cargo manifests, and regulations.
- Availability: Must be available for long-haul and overnight travel as required by the route schedule.
