Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 53-foot dry van trailer on highways and local routes.
- Deliver freight to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring 100% on-time performance.
- Secure cargo properly using straps and bars to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT compliance.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and support staff regarding status updates.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A issued by the state.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules and meet loading deadlines.
