Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with federal and state regulations (FMCSA).
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent shifting.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure roadworthiness.
- Deliver freight to designated locations in a timely and professional manner, representing the company brand positively.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays, issues, or route changes.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred but not always required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing in and out of the cab, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, map reading, and GPS navigation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety-first practices.
