Responsibilities
- Operate school bus safely and efficiently on established routes and field trips.
- Ensure the safety of all students during loading, unloading, and while on the bus.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good mechanical condition.
- Manage student behavior on the bus to maintain a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with school officials and parents regarding student transportation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clear driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
