Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques.
- Deliver goods to designated customer locations along assigned routes while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including proof of delivery (POD) and mileage records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and confirm schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations or DUIs within the last 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of local Portland area roads and geography.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
