Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on designated routes throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving delivery issues, and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving or route delivery.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of geographic areas in and around Philadelphia, PA.
- Basic computer literacy for logging duties and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
