Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight efficiently and safely along designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as required.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, mileage, and delivery records.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical readiness.
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery stop, resolving any issues professionally.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
