Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on established routes throughout Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are handled with care and securely fastened.
- Maintain accurate daily delivery logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering products on time and resolving any delivery issues professionally.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred, specifically in logistics or delivery.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
