Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated stops in the Jacksonville metro area.
- Load and unload merchandise using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and security of cargo.
- Verify delivery quantities and obtain necessary customer signatures or approvals.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and resolving delivery issues efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong navigation skills and proficiency with handheld delivery devices.
