Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages and cargo to designated stops.
- Inspect vehicle prior to each shift and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal safety and functionality.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers at each delivery point, resolving any issues or complaints with a positive attitude.
- Manage time effectively to maintain strict delivery schedules and route efficiency.
- Accurately complete and maintain delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries.
- Load and unload goods securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, or a clean driving record with at least 2 years of local driving experience.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to read maps, GPS systems, and delivery routes effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and politely.
- Physically capable of lifting packages up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends as needed.
