Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Oahu and inter-island routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery schedules
- Handle specialized cargo including refrigerated and hazardous materials with proper certifications
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and Hawaii state transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification and hazmat endorsement preferred
- Knowledge of Honolulu area traffic patterns and island geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Pass federal background check and drug screening requirements
