Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe and efficient manner on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain necessary signatures from customers.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and DOT compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
