Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and time-sensitive materials across Chicagoland
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology to maximize time efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions and delivery confirmations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures and inventory management
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and delays
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile delivery applications
- Strong time-management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
