Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) on highways and local routes throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a strict commitment to safety and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Louisiana.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
